I had the opportunity to capture the premiere of the AFI thesis film Carcass at the Mark Goodson Theater, where cast, crew, friends, and family gathered to celebrate the film’s debut. Carcass follows Gabriel, an outcast branded a thief and forced to serve as an executioner, a role that haunts him after taking the life of his own brother. When Travis, a young street urchin, is arrested for theft, Gabriel is forced to confront his role in a broken system. This powerful film explores themes of guilt, redemption, and the cycle of violence, leaving viewers questioning whether Gabriel can break free from his past.
